Compatible Cyclops Remote Controls for REM-005

CYCLOPS REMOTE CONTROLS COMPATIBLE WITH REM-005

You have selected the REM-005 remote control shown in top image. All compatible remote controls are shown below.

The early REM-005 and REM-005W remote controls used encoder chips which were produced by Nanotech. All Cyclops rolling code systems of this type used encodes from this company, until the late 1990's, when the encoder became unavailable. Microchip became the new encoder chip supplier as they are the manufacturer that produces all the CPU's for the Cyclops alarm/immobiliser systems. The older "Nanotech" style systems are unable to decode the new Microchip signals.

To identify whether your system is able to use the current Microchip encoders

Open the remote control by removing the screw near the key ring and carefully split the case in two.
Examine the large white text located near the red LED (see fig 1.).

The CPU in any Nanotech style system can be updated, please contact you closest CYCLOPS service centre to arrange an appointment. Once the CPU is updated, your system can decode both remote types.
