The ignition signal/supply comes directly from the wires from the ignition switch, this signal has three possible purposes.

  1. To signal the immobiliser that the engine is still running and not to start automatic arming countdown.
  2. Vehicle security systems source an alternate +12VDC from the ignition feed should the main power feed fuse blow.
  3. Immobilisation relays source power from the ignition signal to energise their coils (no longer the case on all Dynamco systems manufactured after Dec 1999).
