What is it ?

The power supply to any vehicle security system is all important. Power should be as un-fused as possible, should a short circuit arise within the system, the built in fuse will blow. 

Using a fused power supply such as vehicle indicator supply, will ensure that if the vehicle's indicators suffer from a short circuit and blow their respective fuse, the security system will be left with no power until the fuse is replaced. Fail safe circuitry within Dynamco systems ensures this will not compromise a disarmed system.

Common power locations : 

• Power cable feeding the rear of the vehicle fuse box.
• Power cable feeding ignition switch.

Determining correct power wire :

• Ground test light to metal chassis.
• Probe larger wires in fuse box. 
• When test light lights up, remove fuse relevant to wire 
• Ensure light does not extinguish when fuse is pulled.
• Splice system power wire to vehicle power wire.
