MICROWAVE THEORY EXPLAINED Microwave sensors use the density of the cabin contents to detect intrusion. Any radical change in density, i.e. add a thief's body, causes extra current draw by the microwave transmitter. This in turn cases the microwave sensor to send a trigger signal to the alarm. Microwave sensors are suitable for all vehicles, but are most suited to protect the cabin space of convertibles, targa and soft tops. The microwave field defines it's own boundaries and requires not hard surfaces to reflect off. Extra bonus is microwaves will pass through the front seats of a vehicle and still protect the rear seats.
